Ok, if you were an aspiring Truggy racer which truggy do you think you would get?
This is what I am looking at
Jammin' CRT-good reviews, good chunk of change to get one going.
HB Lightning Stadium Pro- seems good overall, about $150 less than the Jammin'
HPI Hellfire- no real reviews yet, but looks like a bargin for $600 RTR(I have a M8 to drop in it and get rid of the RTR radio).
Any others?
Thanks, looking foward to next spring.
Ray
OBTW: I still hate the term "Truggy" but until something else catches on I guess thats what we'll have to use.

LOL, Unlimited Trucks work!.....LOL.....I think the Jammin Truck is the best but not by much. I lost by like 3 seconds to a guy who is probably better than me and he had the jamin truck with an OS .30 motor where i had the HB LSP with the stock HB motor. Neither of us had the absolute setup but we were pretty close.... The Jammin is a little bit better but im not sure if it is 150 dollars better.

im not sure, but im racing when and where i can we should all take a trip up to Bumps and Jumps sometime soon. The Hellfire i havent payed too much attention to but i still think Jammin has definetly done there homework on this thing. I think the hellfire is a cheaper version of the lsp, same company makes it. HPI owns Hot Bodies.

My advise is always wait until you are actually going to run the thing to buy it.
I bought a truck to run on a track in March of 04 and the track never raced, right after that a new better truck came out...... I still wish I never bought that damn truck.

Thanks for the input guys. I will try to wait until March to take the plunge, by then the Hellfire will have been out for a while and the Jammin CRT RTR will be out, plus who knows what will be hot next spring.
I may have to get a 1/18th scale to keep me sane until then. ;D

lol, you can get a XXXT ADAM DRAKE from me....sorry im trying to sell it...lol I think all of the big releases are out, they always try to get them out before christmas. Im happy with my LSP for now, im waiting for great companies for 1/8th scales such as Xray, Kyosho and Mugen to put out "Unlimited Trucks", not just kits for there 1/8th scales to turn into truggies.

I finally broke and bought a truggy. So far am undefeated in florida. Very large class. I purchased the bottom end hot bodies then spent the extra doe on necessary hops. Got the werks .32 motor with a high end tuned pipe. Filled the diffs with 50k front, 70k mid and 50 k rear oil. Put 60 wt oil in front shocks and 50 in rear. Also moved shock position on front to inner holes on arms with blue springs. changed the shock ends (flimsy) to the alum type for durability. I have 3 sets of custom cut front tires, with three different widths. These out corner stock fronts hands down. I also put strong servos in. My brake bias is set for more rear braking, so i can power slide pivot for those hairpins (point and shoot). The factory guys down here have starting using this set up as well. I'll probable be at the upcoming nats. Maybe I'll take one more nat champ before I retire for good.

I installed the crt shock towers on my lightning so I could tune to the track easier. Boy it really helped.

The initial reports of the RTR Hellfire are really positive. I am still not buying anything until mid-March, if the kit version is reviewed as good as the RTR it will be a tough choice between the CRT and the Hellfire. Should be a interesting season.
